In-home respite provides planned, temporary support while a usual caregiver takes a break. Our planned service keeps the individual’s routines and preferences in focus while supporting the family caregiver’s need for time away.
Support may include
- Temporary, non-medical support in the individual’s home
- Assistance consistent with the authorized respite plan
- Attention to established routines and preferences
- Coordination of agreed schedules and handoffs with the usual caregiver
What to know before starting
Respite tasks, duration and schedules depend on the applicable service definition, individual authorization and staffing. Overnight, emergency and around-the-clock availability are not promised. This is not skilled nursing or an emergency response service.
Empower Life Services LLC is currently completing Nebraska Medicaid AD Waiver agency enrollment. Availability is not yet confirmed, and an inquiry does not establish a service agreement or guarantee eligibility or coverage.
